Golf’s best are set to take on The Los Angeles Country Club this week in the U.S. Open. LACC is considered to be one of the toughest golf courses in the country, which means these golfers will need to be up to the challenge if they want to raise the trophy on Sunday.
This is golf’s third major of the year, with Jon Rahm taking home the green jacket at the Masters and Brooks Koepka raising the Wanamaker Trophy at the PGA Championship last month. Golfers set to compete for the year’s third major include Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Rory McIlroy, and Justin Thomas, among others.

Splash Sports U.S. Open Public Contest
We’ve got major prizes for a major tournament this week. Splash is hosting a public contest for the U.S. Open with a $4,500 prize pot.
First place will walk away with $900, second place receives $675, and third place will go home with $540.
Additional cash prizes will be paid out to 4th through 25th places. The buy-in for this contest is $20, and we made this a multi-entry contest, meaning you can pay the entry fee and enter up to seven times.
This is a limited-space contest, so join up before the tournament starts on Thursday!
How to Play?
We’ve broken up the golfers into six tiers for this contest.
Setting your lineup is simple, all you need to do after entering is select one golfer from each tier.
Casual golf fans and diehard fans alike will recognize players from each tier, whether it’s the World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler in the first tier or Justin Rose and Patrick Reed in the fifth tier. After selecting your golfers, sit back and watch the action at LACC.
Your golfers will score fantasy points based on their amount of strokes relative to par. Just like golf, the lowest score wins.
Each stroke under par nets you a -1 fantasy point (remember, negatives are good in this case).
Every stroke over par adds 1 fantasy point to your score.
In the event that a golfer you selected misses the cut or withdraws before you can swap him out for another golfer, they’ll be given 8 fantasy points for each round.
To help you out, we have trends and analysis for the U.S. Open to help you make your selections.
Why Play?
Splash Sports contests are simply better than betting against the books. We give you the chance to have multiple picks that can help you win your contests.
If you bet on Tommy Fleetwood with a sportsbook to win the U.S. Open and he finishes in 5th place, your money is gone. If you picked Fleetwood in the fourth tier in our U.S. Open contest, a 5th place finish would help you fly up the leaderboard.
With Splash contests, you get the chance to flex your sports knowledge and make intelligent picks that actually help you win, without being handcuffed to bet against the house.
Head over to Splash Sports and sign up for an account if you haven’t already, and enter the U.S. Open contest for a chance to win cash.
