We’re officially into double digits. Week 10 of the NFL season is upon us, and there are great matchups throughout the week. Last week, the public had another successful showing, though it’s easy for them to win when every favorite besides one (great job, Dennis Allen) wins outright. Things won’t stay this easy as we head late into the season, with divisional matchups picking up and teams starting to figure each other out. Let’s take a look at where the public is leaning in their Week 10 contests.

Thursday Night Football gives us a classic AFC North matchup between the Ravens and Bengals. While Cincinnati hasn’t been playing up to expectations this season, the talent is still there on their roster and whenever these two teams meet, it’s competitive. Looking at the QuickPicks board for TNF, it’s hard not to use Derrick Henry in an entry. He’s gone over this week’s rushing projection of 91.5 yards 4 out of his last 5 games and has gone over this week’s projection of 18.5 yards as his longest rush in 5 out of his last 5 games. Tractorcito is on pace to crack 2,000 rushing yards this season, and while his projections are starting to catch up to his weekly performance, there’s still value to be found.

Looking at Cincinnati’s projections, one that stands out is Chase Brown’s longest rush projection. It’s set at 12.5 yards, and he’s cleared that in 4 out of his last 5 games. Brown has quietly been putting together a great season as the Bengals lead back, both running and catching the football. The Ravens' defense isn’t the easiest to run on, but there’s always a chance Brown can break off a long gain. Check out the QuickPicks board to make your picks for both Thursday Night Football and the stacked Sunday slate.

Run the Ball

Harbaugh Ball: it works. Jim Harbaugh has the Chargers on a roll this season, starting with an effective ground game that opens up the pass for Justin Herbert. Even without a big-name receiver, the Chargers have been able to move the ball on just about every defense they’ve faced. They’ll take on Mason Rudolph and the Titans in Week 10, and the Chargers’ defense is licking their chops at the opportunity to make a statement at home. Splash pickers are all over the Chargers this week, with 28% of users taking them in Survivor contests, good for the most-picked team by almost 10%.

Rookie vs. the Vet

Two of the most surprising teams in the NFL this year, the Commanders and Steelers, are set to face off on Sunday. The Commanders just bolstered their shaky secondary, trading for star CB Marshon Lattimore from the Saints to help defend against the Steelers aerial attack led by Russell Wilson and George Pickens. Russ has the Steelers rolling this year, playing a slightly new brand of Steelers football but with plenty of homage to the smash-mouth style that NFL fans have watched this century. Coming off a Week 9 bye, you’d think that Splash pickers would back the Steelers in their Pick’Em contests given the extra prep time, but that’s not the case. Only 34% of users are taking the Steelers in Pick’Em contests this week. Mike Tomlin is 12-4 off a bye as the Steelers head coach in case anybody wants to go in and change their mind before Sunday.

They Can’t Keep Getting Away With This

The Kansas City Chiefs simply find a way to win football games. They’re an excellent team, don’t get me wrong, but should they be undefeated at this point in the season? Probably not. When you have Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, Travis Kelce, and one of the league’s best defenses, you win games you probably shouldn’t. After a nail-biter of an overtime win on Monday Night Football, the Chiefs stay at home in Week 10 to take on their division rivals Denver. One of the number one rules in Survivor is to stay away from divisional matchups. Splash pickers do not care. 10% of users are backing the Chiefs in Survivor contests this week against the Broncos. And honestly, we don’t blame them. Patrick Mahomes owns the Broncos, holding a 12-1 record against them in his career. This is a different Denver team, with Bo Nix playing better than expected and their defense becoming one of the best units in the league. Coming off an embarrassing loss against the Ravens, they could look to make a statement against Kansas City, but that isn’t deterring Splash users from backing the Chiefs.
