How to Invite People to Your Splash Contest
Splash gives you several easy ways to invite and contact your participants through your Commissioner Console. Whether you're running your first contest or your hundredth, these invitation methods will help you build the participant base you want.
Your Invitation Options
Invite Past Participants
Your commissioner console lets you invite people who entered your previous contests whether they came from Splash, RYP, or OFP. This is perfect when you want to bring back players who already know and love your contests.
Past participants are often your most engaged players, so starting with them can create early momentum for your new contest. They're familiar with how your contests work and are more likely to participate again.
Import Email Lists
Have a list of email addresses? Upload it directly to Splash and send invites to everyone at once. This works great for reaching newsletter subscribers, customers, or anyone else you want to invite.
The import process is straightforward – just upload your CSV file and Splash handles the rest. You can even add personalized messages to make your invitations feel more personal.
Export and Send Yourself
Want to use your own email tool? Export your participant lists from your past Splash, RunYourPool, and OfficeFootballPool contests and send invites through your preferred email platform. This gives you complete control over your invitation message and timing.
This option works well if you have specific email templates you like to use, or if you want to integrate contest invitations into your regular marketing campaigns.
Share Your Contest Link
Every contest gets a unique link that you can copy and share via text messages, social media, or even in person. Anyone who clicks the link can join your contest immediately.
This method is great for social media promotion, adding to your website, or sharing in group chats. The link works instantly, so there's no delay between someone seeing your invitation and being able to join.
Mix and Match
You don't have to pick just one method. Many contest organizers combine approaches – maybe they start by inviting past participants, then share the link on social media to bring in new people.
Some organizers like to stagger their invitations, starting with their most loyal participants and gradually expanding to broader audiences. Others prefer to launch with all methods at once to maximize initial participation.
Keep It Simple
The goal is getting people to your contest as easily as possible. Pick the invitation method that feels most natural for your audience and your workflow.
Think about where your audience spends their time and how they prefer to receive information. Email people prefer email invitations, while social media audiences might respond better to shared links.
Ready to start inviting? Your commissioner console has everything you need to get your contest participants on board.
