How to Play NFL One & Done on Splash Sports
NFL One & Done Basics
Made popular through our golf contests on Splash Sports, One & Done is an exciting twist on traditional fantasy. One & Done combines elements of our flagship game, Survivor, with the fantasy Tiers format. Each week, you’ll be given a list of NFL skill position players (QB, RB, WR, and TE) and your job is to pick the players you think will score the most fantasy points (or touchdowns, but more on that later) in their matchups for the week. We said there’s an element of Survivor in One & Done, and here it is: once you pick a player, you lose them for the rest of the contest. Don’t go wasting Patrick Mahomes and Christian McCaffrey in Week 1 thinking you’ll have them for the rest of the season! Let’s get into more details on One & Done.
Making Your Picks
Each week, we’ll give you the option to pick from any of the NFL’s skill-position players that are playing that week. No, you can’t pick players on a bye, so don’t stress over that. While our PGA One & Done contests typically use a one-player-per-week setting, NFL Commissioners sometimes choose to allow more picks per week due to the vast amount of players available in a given week. Make sure to check your contest details to see how many players you need to pick!
After you’ve strategized and made your picks, hit save to lock them in.
Fantasy Scoring
Every One & Done contest on Splash Sports uses the same fantasy scoring format. At this time, we are unable to offer customized scoring options.
Specific scoring details can be found in the “Rules” section of your contest details page. After you’ve drafted your lineup for the given slate, your picks will start to earn fantasy points based on their in-game performance. Different positions receive different points based on their performance, so it’s important to review the contest details to make sure you maximize your scoring opportunities.
Touchdown Scoring
New in NFL One & Done contests is the Touchdown Scoring format. Instead of receiving fantasy points for your player’s performance, you earn points if they reach the end zone. Scoring for the Touchdown Scoring format is as follows:
1 point per rushing touchdown
1 point per receiving touchdown
1 point per Punt/Kickoff/FG Return for a touchdown
0.5 points per passing touchdown
Just like in the Fantasy Points One & Done format, only skill positions are available, so don’t waste any time trying to find that CB or LB that you think will house an INT for a touchdown before making your picks.
Settings to Consider
Player Use Limit
The Player Use Limit determines how many times you can pick a player throughout a contest. Commissioners can choose to either once or twice, so check your contest details to see how many times you can pick a player in your contest.
Players Picked per Week
One & Done Commissioners can set how many players you pick per week. This can be anywhere from one player per week to five players per week. The more players you pick means the less you will have to pick from as the contest goes on, so plan accordingly!
