What’s Next on Splash? You Decide

The NFL regular season is more than halfway through. That means Survivor season is nearing its conclusion, too. At this point, most Survival players have either won or experienced the opposite. You may be thinking to yourself: “Hey, self, what’s next?” Fortunately, a tremendous amount.

There’s a lot on the horizon to be excited about. NFL, college football, NBA – we got it all. It’s just up to you to find the contest that clicks.

Thanksgiving Day NFL Contests

Thanksgiving is one of the biggest NFL days of the year, every year. We knew we had to give the people the contests that they deserve on Turkey Day. We also knew we had to offer contests for every kind of player.

As is customary, there are three NFL games set for this Thanksgiving: Packers at Lions, Commanders at Cowboys, and 49ers at Seahawks. We have an equal number of Turkey Day Tiers to enhance your football experience on the holiday.

For the unsure, Splash has the free-to-enter NFL $3K Thanksgiving Freeroll, which will distribute $3,000 among first through 50th place, with the top performer earning $450 and the rest of the top five also coming home with $150 or better for their success. All you have to do is select one player from each of the tier that we’ve created based on projected points for the week. With no positional requirements, you can go in whatever direction you will home on the bacon – or turkey, in this instance.

If you want a shot at a bigger prize, then the Splash NFL Tiers $3K Turkey Bowl is for you. The same $3,000 will be passed out to the winners, but only the top 10 entries will be honored with cash. Your $10 entry fee could convert to quite the return if your picks do as you foretold; first place will come away with more than $900, everyone fourth or better will become at least $300 richer, and all money positions are worth $90 or more. The contest otherwise works the same as the Freeroll: pick a player from each tier, then stuff your face with turkey and scream at the TV while your more-stoic family members wonder how you share the same last name.

Maybe you want to keep things simpler on Thanksgiving. You don’t want to enter a tiers contest with hundreds or thousands of competitors. A select handful is better for you. That’s where the Splash NFL $20 Thanksgiving Double Up comes in. Only 20 entries are allowed, and first through ninth place will all receive a $40 reward. With an almost 50-50 shot to double your money, it doesn’t get much more straightforward than this.

Thanksgiving is a big day. It’s an important annual time for family, friends, and (marginally less important) football. This year, celebrate by shoving your winnings in your uncle’s annoying face.

Other NFL Contests

Maybe you don’t want to go all in on Thanksgiving, or maybe you do but still need more NFL action. There are still seven weeks of NFL regular season to go and while your original Survivor is probably wrapped up. We have other contests to keep the final stretch interesting.

If the Survivor bug has its grip on you, then you’ll want to check out the Splash NFL Survivor Sprint. Your $10 entry fee gives you a chance at $5,000. All you have to do is pick three winners each week until you’re the only one standing. Given the context, it shouldn’t take too long.

Splash NFL $2.5K Week 12 Fantasy Tiers allows you to choose among players slated for the whole week, not just Turkey Day. Finishers in the top 50 will bask in their profits, with the three best entries earning $250 or more. For an even bigger prize, you can predict the winners of each outing on the league’s weekly docket as part of our Splash NFL $3.5K Week 12 Pick X contest. The top 10 entries will collect $105 or more, with the ultimate prize of $1,050 heading to the premier performer. Both contests cost $10 for each entry and are an awesome opportunity to add a zero or two onto the initial stake.

If you want a good chance at doubling your money, then look into the Splash NFL $10 Week 12 Double Up. All entrants have an almost 45 percent chance at doubling their $10 entry fee, with the top 75 entries in this unique NFL Pick X contest worth $20 each.

Unlike when you deal with the books, spreads don’t matter here; it’s all about what happens on the field.

College Football Bowl Season

Only rivalry week stands between us and the conference championship competitions. Soon, college football teams with six wins or more (plus the ones that studied the hardest) will know their bowl destination. I’m sorry in advance if it’s Shreveport.

Five undefeated teams – Georgia, Ohio State, Michigan, Florida State, and Washington – are arranged at the top of the college football world right now. Oregon, Texas, Alabama, and Louisville all have designs for their respective conference championships and bids to the College Football Playoff. That will all sort itself out in the next two weeks.

Everyone else still has something to play for: bowl eligibility or bowl positioning. Well, not everyone – some of you are hopeless or James Madison. But the fact remains that so much is on the line in these closing weeks of the season.

The same will be said for those who enter a Splash NCAAF Bowl Pick X contest. The popular format from RunYourPool is coming to Splash, and we wanted to offer our most dynamic experience yet. We’ve added more customization than ever for commissioners this year: commissioners can choose which bowl games to include in their contests, how many points each pick is worth – including a “best pick” wrinkle – and when games will lock.
